ARTIST BIO

I have worked with different medium throughout my life, pencil (coloured, graphite, paste and watercolour) oils, acrylic, soft pastel or ink, my main issue was I love them all.  In September 2017 I retired from Note Printing Australia doing Network Administration.   I have since found more time to do the things I love, Art! At present watercolour and pastels and water-soluble oils are my main focus. I am very passionate about making the best works possible for my personal pleasure. I am endeavouring to transition to make it my new career.

It is important to mention that I only use high quality 100% cotton watercolour paper and Lightfast Artist quality pigments. If you require a painting to be framed it will take up to 3 weeks as I outsource this to a professional framer.

I have noticed that predominantly my art is a combination of landscapes and animals so I will go with the flow and keep working from nature.

I realise I am an artist who was working doing other things, yet still always looking at the world through my artists eyes. Having a love for colour, shape beauty and diversity that is found in nature and around me and I look at the things around me with a childlike joy.  And knowing that no one can represent any of it in a way that is as beautiful as the original I still produce my representation of it humbly accepting the difference between the two.  So I now say yep I am an artist!

In this past year I was one of the successful recipients of the Hume Council Art Grant, this was a great opportunity to build art supplies and focus on a specific project to expand my skills in various mediums.

In conclusion. thank you to those who have purchased my artwork as it gives me the greatest joy to know people like what I do.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my art and I pray it gives you as much joy as it gave me painting it.
