ARTIST BIO

I am a mostly self-taught artist, exhibiting with several societies. I work mostly in oils, but also do pen and wash and pastel work. I draw my inspiration from both the natural and urban environments, with particular emphasis on the feeling of the 'place' and weather conditions. I use colour, light and shade and the sculptural qualities of natural elements of buildings to enhance those aspects of my work.
