Desert Rocks by Inese Edwards

Features

ARTIST NOTES: This is an abstract piece in acrylic depicting desert rocks. This is using the fluid acrylic style but in a more controlled manner. I like the variation in the terrain, the earthy colours, and the cell like structures which create the shape and texture of rocks and sandy patches. Your imagination can add to the interpretation. It is painted on stretched canvas and has been edged with slim Tasmanian Oak wood in a slightly rustic style. Ready to hang. There is a lot of detail to view in this painting .

ARTIST BIO

 Inese Edwarsa - Melbourne Artistst

I have worked with various media including pastels, water colour , and particularly oils.  I have also  tried other media in the form of resin paints, acrylics and alcohol inks, which lend themselves perfectly to abstract work. I have really enjoying painting pieces in fluid acrylics creating organinc and cell like structures and experimenting with the magical effects of these.

Currently I am fascinated with Australian eucalyptus trees , flowers and seed pods , which are particularly beautiful and I paint these in oils.

I also like to paint close up images of flowers and fruits and I like the effect of shine and transparency and light, sun and shadows. I like bold colours and abstract shapes and forms, and the abstract flow of paint and the surprises it leads me to.

I also like to do smaller pieces  and designs which I call minis, and creating hand painted mini pieces for greeting cards. A lot of my art and designs can be viewed on Instagram under @artplusart_inese.edwards

My work can also be found on Pinterest under Inese Edwards.

I have exhibited my paintings in approximately 23 shows including Melbourne and regional.
